SOFTWARE USER INTERFACE

Accessing the User Interface via XANDEM CLOUD

To access your system via XANDEM CLOUD, go to https://cloud.xandem.com, enter your username and password, and log in. Your system must be activated in order to log in. To activate a system, go to https://cloud.xandem.com/#/activate.

Arming/Disarming the system

To arm or disarm the system, click the lock icon on the right side of the toolbar at the top of the interface. It will be colored orange when armed, and white when disarmed.

Mapping the floor plan and node locations

  1. Open the user interface in a web browser and click on "MAP LAYOUT" on the menu.
  2. Draw your floor-plan on the grid using your mouse. Each square on the grid represents approximately 1 square foot of area. Drag the nodes
  3. Drag the nodes to their appropriate locations. IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure that the node ID as listed on the labels of the nodes corresponds to the node ID numbers in the user interface. If the node IDs and locations do not correspond, location tracking will not work correctly.
  4. Click "Save Settings" and wait for the map to reappear on the "LIVE VIEW" page.

Adjusting sensitivity

To adjust the detection sensitivity of your system: 1. Open the user interface in a web browser and click on "SETTINGS." 2. Choose the "Sensing" tab. 3. Move the "motion sensitivity" slider to a new value. Low values (left) are more sensitive than high (right) values. 4. Click "Save Settings" and wait for the map to reappear on the "LIVE VIEW" page.

Using The Rules Engine

The XANDEM Rules Engine allows you to set up automatic actions based on certain conditions being met. For example, you may want to sound the siren and send an email if a person enters the detection area while it is armed. To create a new rule:

  1. Open the user interface in a web browser and click on "RULES."
  2. Click "Create New Rule"
  3. Add the conditions that need to be met in order for the rule to run. You can add multiple conditions that will be combined with "AND" logic. For example, if your two conditions are "armed" and "motion," the rule will only run when both conditions are met.
  4. Add the actions that you want to run when the conditions are met. You can add multiple actions.
  5. Click the save button.
  6. Enable the rule by using the slider on the left hand side.

Checking wireless connectivity health and power

To check how healthy your network is, use the Diagnostics page: 1. Open the user interface in a web browser and click on "DIAGNOSTICS." 2. Verify that each node has a good (green) connectivity bar. 3. Verify that the overall network health is greater than 70%. 4. Verify that all nodes have a supply voltage of greater than 2.2VDC.

Accessing the user interface via LAN

To access the graphical user interface (GUI), make sure the Gateway is installed, powered up, and connected to a LAN via the Ethernet cable. The Gateway will take approximately 1-2 minutes to fully boot before the interface will be available and fully functional. While using a phone, tablet, or desktop connected to the same LAN as the Gateway, open a browser and navigate to:

http://xandem-{deviceId}.local/

where {deviceID} is replaced with the device ID of your Gateway. This is generally found on a label on the bottom/back side of the Gateway enclosure. If functioning properly, the GUI will run within the browser. Recommended browsers are Chrome, and Firefox.

NOTE FOR ANDROID USERS: When accessing the GUI using an Android device, the ".local" portion of the URL should be removed, but keep the trailing "/". Like this: http://xandem-{deviceId}/

The default username is admin and the default password is nunu. Make sure to change your password immediately by going to the Settings page.
